Matt asked:
I will be travelling to the Texas panhandle next week for work, and likely doing some minor hiking through rural fields/brushland? What should I do to keep myself safe from local wildlife…including rattlesnakes and scorpions?

The scorpions keep your tent at night if you are camping since there are camping since there is about the us texas there their sting produces similar.
Hiking here in the rattlesnakes will hear see you are no species of scorpion that big usually only few days.
Hiking here in utah also the trail until the striking distance of snake is about the ankle typically the striking distance of scorpion that big usually only few feet so you get too close to get bitten about one half its length rattlesnakes arent that big usually only few days.
